About Little Jammers
Little Jammers Kids Band is a modern-day preschool music program that gets kids excited to play in their very own rock band! While kids rotate on Keyboard, Guitar, Drums, and Singing, kids learn how to read music on the staff, how to play a steady beat, write their own music, and just have fun as a kid!
Created in 2019, Little Jammers started at Seckman Music School in Kansas as a way to fill a void in the rock band class offerings, which was not being offered for the 4-7 age group. Since then, Little Jammers has grown to where it is today being taught at 5 music schools across Kansas, Michigan, and Tennessee!
Our curriculum is perfect for music schools of all kinds who want to start a preschool music program, or diversify their instrumental options. We love to say that Little Jammers is Affordable, Flexible, and Fun!
AFFORDABILITY is one of the things we strive for with our schools to make sure they can offer programs that have a low start-up cost, but can also generate revenue with as well!
FLEXIBILITY is something we knew our curriculum needed for any music school to implement and get going quickly. No two music schools are the same, and Little Jammers offers variations of our curriculum to meet the needs of your school and students.
What curriculum would be complete without FUN?! Once you decide that Little Jammers is right for you, you will become one of our member teachers and get exclusive access to our ever-growing supplemental library which includes MORE songbooks, activitiy sheets, marketing material, games and much more that is added to each month.
Meet Zachary Seckman
The curriculum is created and authored by Zachary Seckman. Zachary is the owner and lead instructor at Seckman Music School where Little Jammers first started. Aside from running the music school, Zach also composes music, authors methods books, and creates teaching aids for a variety of instruments under the ZS Music Publishing name. Outside of the music teaching and composing, Seckman also directs the music program for the Haysville United Methodist Church where he conducts the Chancel Choir, Handbell Choir, Youth Choir, Children's Music Program, and he assists with the Praise Band and tech team.
Zachary comes from a family of amateur musicians which is what led him to pursue and earn a Bachelor of Music Education from Kansas State University. Growing up, he was involved in just about everything music in school including as many ensembles as possible, plays, dramas, and musicals! During his senior year of high school in 2011, Zach started teaching private lessons as a way to start learning to teach before going to college and has been teaching privately ever since.
